Free household hazardous waste drop off three days a week 

Residents may drop-off household hazardous waste at the Citrus County Central Landfill on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Up to 60 lbs total per visit will be accepted free of charge. Materials should be delivered in original containers.

Additional program information about household hazardous waste is posted on the county web site at: www.bocc.citrus.fl.us/pubworks/swm and on the landfill information sign on State Road 44. For information by phone, call Solid Waste Management at 527-7670.
