Pine Ridge Estates has often
been called the hidden gem of Citrus County. Just as a gem sparkles
from its many facets, Pine Ridge Estates casts its own special aura
upon its residents.
It is a deed restricted
community of more than 10,000 acres with almost 5,000 lots ranging
in size from one plus (1+) to more than five and a half (5 1/2)
acres.
The landscape is dotted with rolling hills, wooded
areas, natural vegetation, and its namesake Pine trees. A designated
Bird Sanctuary, it is not uncommon for one to observe the Bald
Eagle, Woodpeckers, Great Horned Owl or Red-tailed Hawk. Add an
abundance of wildlife such as the Gopher Tortoise, Bobcats, the
endangered Florida Panther and an occasional Black Bear and you have
a nature enthusiast delight.
It is a perfect place for
equestrians to live. From the picturesque pastures to the stables
and riding trails, it is a horse lover's delight. A large number of
lots in Pine Ridge Estates are certified for the stabling of horses,
and there is approximately thirty (30) miles of horse trails for the
100 plus horses stabled on various lots throughout the community.
Nestled within the 94 acre Community Center Complex, many other
amenities are also offered to Pine Ridge residents. Amenities
included in this complex are tennis courts, shuffleboard courts,
children's playground and the active community center with its game
room and full kitchen.
Pine Ridge Estates is not exclusively for horse owners. Other
social and recreational facilities are available. Pine Ridge has a
Ladies doubles tennis team, a men's traveling golf league, and a
woman's traveling golf league. Each of these activities is part of
an established league that crosses county lines. In addition, the
Pine Ridge Civic Association has a full schedule of activities in
which all members are invited to participate.
